Hi, kids. I'm Jake. I made a computer game out of a clay-like substance (more of a dough, really). It inspired me to make other game characters from the very same.

I don’t have time for another Halloween Countdown with daily updates like I did two years ago, but I am working on a little project with tiny video game monster sculptures that I think should turn out to be pretty cool. Expect updates through the month, as well as some extras when I can find the time.

Well, hey. Patrick Klepek played that game I made on Giant Bomb’s Worth Playing this week.

If you haven’t played Be Good, maybe you should. It’s freeeeeeee!

The cool kids over at re/Action published an article I wrote. You should read it!

I Love a Bunch of Movies

I’ve decided, at least for a while, to get out of making video games (oh, hey, I worked at Nintendo until a few weeks ago) and get into making movies. Despite a lifelong interest in moviemaking, years of actively pursuing my other big creative interest has taken its toll, and I’ve really fallen out of watching movies.

So this new Tumblr is my place to write super-brief movie reviews and maybe discover what kinds of things I want to do in my new career. I’ve already discovered a couple under-the-radar gems that I highly recommend. If that sounds like something you wouldn’t hate, and you’re not seething with rage at my mixed radar/gem metaphor, please do check it out.
